Campus MovieFest is a new form of campus event like none other. Why? Because it puts the inspiration where it should be: in the hands of the students. Unlike other events, Campus MovieFest goes well beyond the confines of promoting school spirit. It teaches, it inspires, it unites.

After weeks of building excitement and support, the Ideas United team delivers and introduces state of the art technology into the hands of the students. This includes a digital camcorder and a computer running easy to use, effective, editing software. Campus MovieFest isn't just for filmmakers; each campus event attracts thousands of students who want to have fun.

The students then have a week to storyboard, star in, film, and edit their own unique movies. But they’re not alone; student leaders, technical support, and IU staff are on-hand to support them at all times.

The week concludes with an amazing night of fun and excitement where the top voted movies are shown to a packed house for the entire school to enjoy. Even after the event has ended, Campus MovieFest leaves its mark on campuses as students are now equipped with the knowledge and inspiration to use these tools throughout the year and across the campus. Plus, the movies are posted online for millions to see!
