  • Engineering & Technology Camp Counselor - Cupertino, CA

      Ideas United is looking for enthusiastic and reliable counselors for our upcoming Engineering & Technology Camp this Summer. Counselors will chaperone a small, diverse group of sophomore and junior high school students at company-provided housing and a technology company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. This position offers the unique opportunity to form impactful relationships with the next generation in engineering and technology. Compensation is commensurate with education and experience.


    • Must be available July 6 through August 9
    • Assist in planning, organization and execution of camp activities
    • Collaborate with camp director and other counselors to instill community and create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for students of diverse backgrounds
    • Foster relationships with camp director, fellow counselors, students and mentors
    • Assure students are properly supervised at all times
    • Be alert to the personal and health needs of students and promptly assist them with issues and problems
    • Ensure students’ living and working spaces are clean and organized
    • Provide timely reports to camp director and communicate with fellow counselors
    • Transport students from camp lodging to camp sponsored activities
    • Adhere to and provide guidance around security and confidentiality requirements
    • Respect privacy of fellow counselors and students
    • Training is TBD and may be required prior to start of camp
    • Qualifications/Requirements:

    • At least 2 years working with students aged K-12 preferred
    • Experience with event planning and coordination
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities, highly responsible and dependable
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Excited to be a role model and develop positive and constructive relationships with people of diverse backgrounds
    • Interest in technology & software a plus
    • A strong candidate will be a team player, flexible in evolving and quickly changing circumstances, eager to proactively take on responsibilities
    • Must be CPR/First Aid certified prior to April 1, 2017; certification classes completed after hire will be be reimbursed

  • Account Manager - Atlanta, GA

      Summary: We're looking for a passionate, detail oriented, and intelligent account managers to join our team. IU account managers are responsible for facilitating and nurturing client relationships both to ensure quality of current obligations and to maximize future opportunities. This position works alongside the IU sales team. Account Managers will act as the liaison between the client and the agency and will work to ensure successful relationships are cultivated, maintained and expanded over time. AMs are also responsible for assisting the sales department in the creation and maintenance of business development materials including, but not limited to, pitch decks, scope of work documents, invoicing, etc, as bandwidth permits.

      Job Responsibilities

    • Strategize to grow existing client accounts, bringing upsell opportunities to the table based on client business goals, health of the account, etc.
    • Manage client relationships and create an environment between the client and the Account Manager that is conducive to both account maintenance and growth
    • Ensure project timelines, both internal and external, are progressing according to plan and assist in alleviating delays, as possible/needed
    • Conduct regular client check-in calls/meetings to ensure goals are being met and identify any areas where additional resources are needed
    • Facilitate communication between client and Production Manager/internal departments within IU
    • Bring new ideas to the table
    • Generate invoicing
    • Assist sales with new business proposals, bandwidth permitting
    • Assist in calculating and analyzing metrics illustrating the reach and success of efforts
    • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least 2+ years work experience in sales, account/business management, or marketing in video production or special event management fields
    • Knowledge of video production practices a plus.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field preferred
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
    • Working knowledge of current social media platforms
    • Proactive, outgoing attitude and approach
    • Ability to work additional hours, as needed

    • Summary:
      Campus MovieFest, the world’s largest student film festival is adding a member to their tour management team. Campus MovieFest travels around the world providing students with laptops, camcorders, and training to create their own short films. The films then screen on college campuses, compete for prizing, and have the chance to advance to the national CMF Grand Finale event at the end of the school year at the TERMINUS Festival + Conference in Atlanta, GA.

      The Promotions Manager is responsible for assembling, training, and managing a promotions team that will help market CMF to students, faculty, and clubs on college campuses.

      The Promotions Manager should be a highly organized and self-motivated individual with a competitive spirit to help the CMF Tour meet and exceed participation goals for student filmmakers as well as attendees at Finale screening events.

      An applicant for the Promotions Manager position must be willing to travel extensively for long periods of time while on Tour. They must be outgoing and friendly with excellent communications skills and confidence to speak in front of small and large audiences. The Promotions Manager should energetically engage students and clearly explain what Campus MovieFest is and why it is such an amazing event. They should be able to innovate new ways to promote CMF and motivate their promotions team. They should use their creativity to add value to the events and improve the experiences of the students. A background in college event planning or event marketing is preferred and it is suggested that they have a working knowledge of Apple technology. Experience with a variety of Social Media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat is required.

      Job Duties:

    • Hire, train, and manage a grass-roots promotions staff for the tour.
    • Recruit, train, and work with student volunteers to develop a custom marketing strategy for each school. (How to promote? When to promote? Where to promote?)
    • Develop and execute the marketing strategy for each campus and schedule the promotions staff and student volunteers to fulfill it.
    • Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate promotions strategies on multiple campuses simultaneously.
    • Promote corporate partner initiatives and serve as an ambassador for their brands.
    • Work with the schools to ensure we have access to the best places to promote and are taking advantage of all on-campus opportunities for promoting CMF.
    • Develop and execute Social Media strategy for on-campus events and sponsor initiatives on multiple platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, etc.
    • Draft Press Releases and liaison with campus media outlets including campus newspaper, radio station, television station, blogs, and “be the face” of the CMF Tour.
    • Help Tour Manager prepare and inventory all necessary resources for the tour.
    • Assist the Tour Manager in running the day-to-day operations of the tour.
    • Work with Tour Manager to delegate responsibilities, manage, and supervise CMF co-ops (semester-long interns who travel with the CMF Tours).
    • A valid driver license and the ability to drive a 17’ box truck and lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
